INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE USE OF HEMOSTATICS
1. Disinfection
Wipe (blot) the wound with a napkin to remove blood. Unpack (tear) the hemostatic product. Select the amount and size of the product depending on the size of the wound surface and the strength of bleeding. Do not throw the package away!
2. Filling in
Fill the entire wound space with a hemostatic product, place the remainder over the the place of bleeding (more than one hemostatic product may be needed). Create direct pressure over the wound for 3-5 minutes
3. Stopping blood
After applying direct pressure to the wound, assess the bleeding without removing the dressing. В bleeding resumes, apply another hemostatic product. When bleeding is reduced and stopped bleeding, apply a dressing over the wound
3. Fixing
Fix the packaging of the medical device on the bandage and prepare the victim for transportation (If there is packaging, medical personnel will be able to determine which product was used)
1. Instructions for removal
- Remove the bandage only in the presence of qualified personnel.
- Carefully remove the hemostatic product
- Inform medical personnel of the need for thorough irrigation (washing
of the wound surface). After removal of the hemostatic product.
2. For external use only
If the package is damaged or opened, the sterility of the product is not guaranteed and should be discarded. The product cannot be reused. Repeated sterilization is not possible. In case of painful sensations or signs of circulatory disorders, immediately remove the product and use other hemostatic agents. Open the package immediately before use. Avoid contact with eyes (as well as contact of fingers with eyes after contact with the product). In case of signs of local or general reaction, inform medical personnel. The product should be removed within 24 hours.
